Christian Persecution:

Persecution of Christians is a serious issue because Jesus Himself is being assaulted...
And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” Acts 9:5

And because all Christians will experience it. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12

We are to be chained together with our brothers and sisters. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them – those who are mistreated – since you yourselves are in the body also. Hebrews 13:3
